Harmony

Hello and welcome. There’s been a while and so much has happened in such a short time. It seems change is the theme of the current energies, change leading to freedom. People I am meeting and coming in contact with are continually reinforcing this theme. So, to align with the energies you’ll notice the change in title of this column, so that the energies may contribute to Harmony and Community.

Harmony, according to my understanding is that state of mind that permits the acceptance of another person, statement, ideology, object or thing whilst at the same time permitting one to be who and what they are. So even if views differ Harmony can still exist. Ibelieve it was Budda who said " It is resistance to what is,that creates pain and suffering" Which gives rise most eloquently to the term "meant to be" you may have heard the latter one.

Meant to be enables us to accept the circumstances of the seemingly inexplicable occurrence’s good or bad, gather ourselves and then move on.There is a comforting influence in this line of reasoning and also one aspect that becomes disturbing as well, and that is, the abuse of the term. Amongst the "Spiritual Circles" Ihave noticed a growing faith in the use of this idea to explain away feelings, thoughts, and situations that quite often indicate inquiry rather than the evidence that over indulgence can sometimes promote.

As with anything there is a required dosage, have a look on the label of the flower essence bottle or any other remedies you have. Too much of any substance is an abuse, that’s what too much means. Meant to be has been said to describe the fact that someone happens to be at a place at a particular time, the radiator got a hole in it,the tyre went flat, or somebody said something they shouldn’t have. The connotation offered is that all is in the hands of those above and our actions, thoughts and feelings are generated by forces outside ourselves, a dangerous philosophy.

The danger is that we may be lulled into the intoxicating belief that fate, destiny, or Karma even, be in the hands of someone or something superior to us and because a person is walking "their" path everything will be o.k. "Meant to be" is cool but we must remain aware and so fail not to question everything , even that which we trust, nothing lasts forever.

The beings of the supernatural worlds and others above work only to guide and direct us, with all the love that we can accept at the time, in fullfillment of the grand plan. And each of us has a part to play. I believe that everything is happening as it is intended because that is what each of us is here to do, what we intend. That choice cannot be interfered with or changed without our own permission and violation. What is meant to be is just as much our creation as it is of those above us, and to give credit, where it is sometimes undue, is to weaken the effectiveness of the individual and transfer collective power. There is a prayer that to me, sums up the whole affair:

Lord give me the strength to accept the things I cannot change

The courage to change the things I can

And the wisdom to know the difference.

By following this reasoning we are able to change the cyclic pattern of habitual behaviour that thwarts the freedom of action, thought, feeling, and travel whatever path serves us best. Such action promotes asense of Community, action dedicated and directed towards the benefit of The All, and all with whom we come in contact.

The awakening of this impulse spawns the dawning’s of one’s spiritual awareness. Before this point it is not that we are not spiritual,it’s merely that we have not been aware of it. To say that someone is "spiritual" and on the path only promotes separatist currents that retards the acceptance of others. Permit me to shed some light upon this misconception. There is not one person in the world who is not "spiritual" and not on their path. The term that best describes the situation are awareness and the path. Their is a term of possession, characterises by personality the little "I",so there is not one person who is not or has not been on "their path.

By using the terms aware then we depersonalise the possessive and begin to see the individualistic "I" of the spirit the Big us. In nature there are varying degrees and levels of awareness from the mineral kingdom, up to the animal kingdom each doing its collective bit to realise the kingdom of God on Earth through humanity. It is the level of ones awareness that enables them to realise the connectedness of all things to the one thing, making the material body more spiritualised and the spiritual body more materialised.

As above so below. To say that one person is spiritual and another is not is to deny the Godness and source of all things. As I said, I believe that all things are occurring as intended because that’s exactly what every particle is there to do, what they intended. What needs to be discerned is that the action is governed by the Big Self or Little Self. Little Self is possessive and divisive. The Big Self the individual I is collective and generative.

A simple exercise which promotes harmony & community is the substitute of "The" for theirs, ours, his, hers, mine etc. This simplicity confounds the unaware mind of personal ego and promotes awareness of the spiritual self. The awareness of harmony in community already exists, what is required of us is to train ourselves to remember it. Remember that love is the Law and it is via the direction of will that it shall reside on Earth. The higher beings have been waiting patiently for aeons and this time it shall be established. What is required is that we act with awareness, we are the hands of God the instrument via which the law shall be established. Love under will.

In Essence I Go.
